Vegetables Juice At 9:30 AM
Drink a glass of vegetable juice around 9:30 in the morning. Diabetics should not drink fruit juices but can drink vegetable juices with Snake gourd, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, tomato, cucumber, carrot and beetroot. mix 4 to 5 types of vegetables, grind them and filter the juce. drink pure juice with a little honey and lemon juice. You can drink 250 to 300 ml of vegetable juice. So, in the morning you should take vegetable juice.
Eat Multigrain Pulka At 11:00 AM
Eat pulka around 11:30 am an hour after drinking juice. For multigrain flour Take 1.5 kg wheat, 250 grams each of finger millet, pearl millet and jowar. All these four grains add upto 2 kg.
Add 100 to 150 grams of soybeans to these grains. Grind all these together and do not refine the flour. Make pulka with this flour. Grill the pulka without oil and eat any it with greens cooked with lentils, like red gram, green gram and bengal gram. Cook greens adding kidney beans, soybeans and green peas once in a while. All these are high protein foods which are best for diabetics.
Is Carbohydrates Good For Diabetics
No, Diabetics should reduce carbohydrates and increase protein intake. That’s why I cook greens with lentils. Also use vegetables like bottle gourd, ridge gourd, cucumber and banana, for cooking plain vegetable curries. Do not peel much of the skin of the vegetables. Cooking with skin and eating lets the vegetables digest slowly. The fiber will control the absorption of glucose into blood. Also do not be over cooked. Cook them for only 50 to 70%. Take at least 400 grams of vegetable curry. Eat 200 to 300 grams of lentils cooked with greens.
Eat Pulka With Curries
Eat the curries with multigrain pulka. Separate layers of pulka and eat with curries. This will let you eat more curry with 2 pulkas. Diabetics should also eat a cup of curd and avoid rice completely. Non diabetics can eat a morsel of millet rice with the pulkas. Carbohydrates are reduced if rice intake is reduced. This should be your morning diet.
Methi Powder For Diabetes
Don’t eat anything in the afternoon until 4:30. Take the diabetic medicine in the required dose. Also mix some fenugreek powder in the meal. Fenugreek is best to reduce insulin resistance in diabetics. Non diabetics do not need to consume methi powder For Diabetes. Drink water until 4pm.
Drink Coconut Water At 4:30 PM
Drink coconut water between 4 to 4:30 pm. It will not raise diabetes and will provide vitamins and minerals.
Dinner For Intermittent Fasting
Between 5 to 6 pm. eat 2 to 3 types of sprouts made of green gram, cowpea and bengal gram. Also eat soaked watermelon seeds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and pistachio. Eat soaked dry nuts, sprouts followed by fruits like guava, pomegranate, jujubi, sweet lemon and Java Plum. Eat some of these fruits.
How Much Medicine Dose Must Be Taken
Make sure you reduce diabetes medicine dose after dinner. Also make sure you take the right dose of medicine after consulting the doctor, even the morning. According to blood reports, reduce medicine and insulin intake. Eating 2 times gives a lot of gap between meals.
Dont worry that the blood sugar reduce after 9 pm, it will not reduce. Medicines lower blood sugar. This food gives you energy without dropping your blood sugar.
